Thought
of the month:
March 2002
« Tomorrow »
May we move on! May it be
tomorrow yet!
May we dare to pass on from
these cruel monkeys bouncing on and off,
and shaking our fragile branches?
May we speak cruelly of those leftover thoughts that scare us in the darkness
of our nights, alone, sitting by the window and waiting for it to come?
I found myself daring to
see it come, at last.
Yes, I dared to look out
the window all night to see the morning rise
into my tomorrow's world. And it has been a very cold night so far...
Yet, have I not seen it rise and rise, again and again, ...
For many times you rose, bringing with you the roses of my souvenirs
and the brightness of my hopes.
So let it come, please,
let us be at last.
I've seen many who're waiting to see you bring again their laughter and
their weightless hearts, flowing through the air like those leaves flying
through autumn.
I can't keep hiding in the
corners, aching still of what was right or wrong, or find myself thinking
of all that's been won. At least not when I am dreaming of your light
at dawn.
But I can no longer keep my heart from aching and shaking in your absence...
Who said that it was too
late for happiness? Who said that all was lost?
We all have come to give you our velvet hearts to keep you warm at nights,
while you are gone.
